Birds of prey are truly masters of the skies. They have keen eyesight, sharp talons and are adept hunters. Fortunately for us, Alabama is home to several species of raptors. During this program, featuring live birds from AWC’s Education Ambassadors Program, you will learn their various features, adaptations and field marks to help you identify them in the field. Bring your children and camera to capture the moment! Note there are two programs to accommodate everyone.

The Alabama Wildlife Center is hosting the annual Owl-o-Ween festival! Come meet the most common species of owls in Alabama up close including the worlds largest owl the Eurasian eagle-owl!
