Join us at the Alabama Wildlife Center for a special afternoon where music, birds, and conservation come together!
Nashville singer-songwriters Bonner Black and Walker Burroughs are bringing The Flyway Tour to the Alabama Wildlife Center on Saturday, October 24. Guests will begin the afternoon with a guided bird and nature walk before gathering for an intimate acoustic performance by Bonner and Walker, followed by an opportunity to meet the artists and take photos.
Bonner Black is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, avid birder, and conservation advocate whose love of music and the natural world has become central to her work. Raised in rural Tennessee, Bonner has spent more than a decade writing, recording, and touring, with her music earning more than 900,000 streams and recognition from platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Her birding content reached millions of viewers in 2025, and she has collaborated with organizations including the National Audubon Society, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Her tours frequently combine live music with bird and nature walks that introduce audiences to local wildlife and conservation organizations.
Joining Bonner is Birmingham native Walker Burroughs, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and Belmont University graduate. Walker gained national recognition as a Top 8 finalist on Season 17 of American Idol and has since toured nationally with Bobby Bones and Kris Allen. His music combines thoughtful songwriting, piano-driven melodies, and reflections on our connections with ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
The Flyway Tour offers a unique opportunity to experience both artists in the beautiful setting of Oak Mountain State Park while learning more about Alabama’s native birds and the work being done to protect them. Even better, 10% of event proceeds will benefit the Alabama Wildlife Center and support our work rehabilitating Alabama’s injured and orphaned wild birds, educating communities across the state, and connecting people with the natural world.
