Summer Camp

If your child is curious about nature or likes spending time outdoors, AWC’s summer camp is the perfect way for them to enjoy summer vacation while learning about wildlife!

2020 Camp Details

  • Summer camp will take place July 27th-31st for 1st-6th graders
  •  Camp will run from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm every day (we will be on site at 8:30 to begin check in each day, and pick-up will be from 3:30-4:00)
  •  Camp fees are $225.00 for AWC members and $240.00 for non-members
  •  Campers must bring a sack lunch; snacks will be provided
  • Campers must bring and wear protective masks when indoors

About The Wildlife Center

Our Mission
The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama’s oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation facility, caring annually for almost 2,000 wild bird patients from more than 100 species. AWC is a nonprofit organization with a dual mission:
  • to provide medical and rehabilitative care for Alabama’s injured and orphaned native birds in order to permit their return to the wild, and
  • to educate people in order to heighten awareness and appreciation of Alabama’s native wildlife.
