Date: April 20th

Location: Alabama Wildlife Center

We’re thrilled to extend an invitation to you for a momentous occasion in our journey. The Alabama Wildlife Center, a beacon of hope and healing for Alabama’s wildlife since 1987, is proud to announce a landmark event – our grand reopening following an extensive renovation!

In 1987, Anne Miller moved the Alabama Wildlife Center inside Oak Mountain State Park Foothills Resturant. With little funding and a lot of help from volunteers, the kitchen inside the restaurant was converted into the first wildlife rescue hospital in Alabama. Since then, more than 100,000 injured mammals, reptiles, and birds have entered our clinic, in critical need of care.

Now, more than 35 years later, our clinic is finally getting the makeover it so dearly deserved. Thank you to everyone who has ever supported us. Together, we are making a better world for birds today, tomorrow, and forever.

Additionally, we have even more to unveil at the ribbon-cutting ceremony than just our clinic that we are excited to show you!
