Andrew Coleman, Guest Speaker The recovery of the Bald Eagle from near extinction is one of the United States’ greatest conservation success stories, and that recovery has been evident in Alabama. This state has witnessed the exponential increase in mating pairs from zero in the mid-1980’s to over 200 today, and further research is needed. Andrew, Birmingham Audubon’s Science and Program Director, will discuss the resurgence of eagles in Alabama and their intriguing ecological relationship with turtles.
